Plumbing Basics Workshop

This six-hour module is typically broken into two three-hour workshops. During the first workshop, participants learn all about toilets: seals, gaskets, wax rings, flush valves, fill valves, tank levers, supply lines, and shutoff valves. By the end of the workshop, they are able to set a toilet bowl, assemble the tank parts, and fasten the tank to the bowl. During the second workshop, participants learn about faucets, supply lines, drains, p-traps, snakes, and various other parts and tools. By the end of this workshop, each participant will install their own faucet, assemble a drain and p-trap, and know how to unclog a faucet and snake a drain.

Plumbing Basics is one of the four core modules included in our Home Repair Training Program, and is also offered from time to time as a stand-alone workshop.
